Team Categories
Organize and display your team members by category. Categories allows you to display people by group on the Teams landing page. Categories are optional.
Add Team Categories
- In the WordPress Dashboard, go to Team Categories

- To create a category, in the Name field, enter a category name, then click the Add Teams Category button
- Leave the Slug field empty as it is created automatically
- Multiple categories can be created
- The order in which the categories display on the site can be changed by clicking, holding, and dragging the icon beside the category name, into the position you want
- Categories can be assigned when adding Team Members or editing existing Team Members
Renaming Team Categories
- If you want to rename a category, click the Edit link below the category name
- The Edit Teams Category screen will display

- If you want to rename a category, type in a new Name (eg: New Category Name)
- You must also manually change the Slug to match the new name. Use only lowercase and separate words with hyphens. (eg: new-category-name)
- Your modified category will remain assigned to the same team members
Deleting Team Categories
- To delete a category, click the Delete link below the category name
- A popup message will display, notifying you that you are about to delete a category permanently, and that once deleted, it cannot be undone.
- Click Cancel to stop, or OK to delete
- The deleted category will be removed from the team members it was assigned to
