Storing and Reusing a Job Posting
Access level required: HR Admin / HR Editor
Have a job posting that will be used again in the future? Store it. Then when you need it, reuse it.
This is perfect for a common position that you are constantly hiring for, and that you don’t want to keep creating the same job posting for it, over and over again. Storing a job posting is as simple as turning it into a Draft, which removes it from the website, and then when you want to use it again, modify its dates and then change it from a Draft by Publishing it.
Storing a Job Posting for Future Use
- In the WordPress dashboard click on Careers, then All Careers to access the list of your job postings
- Hover over the job posting you want to store for future use
- In the menu that appears, click Edit
- Set the Job Status to Opened
- In the far right sidebar, under Publish, edit where it says Status: Published and change it to Draft
- The job posting is still listed with the other Published (active) jobs, but will have – Draft added to its name
Reusing a Job Posting
- In the WordPress dashboard click on Careers, then All Careers to access the list of your job postings
- Hover over the job posting you want to reuse, which will still be marked with – Draft
- In the menu that appears, click Edit
- In the Job’s Status settings
- Set Status to Opened
- Modify the Job Opens date to the you want the job to display on the website
- Modify the Job Closes date to when the Application Form on the job should be removed
- Modify the Job Expires date to when the job posting no longer displays on the website
- In the far right sidebar under Publish
- edit the Published on date, changing it to the current date
- click the Publish button, which changes it from a draft and will now be displayed on the website
